MENTORING
Project Snapshot mentorship program is a FREE 8 week program that pairs high school mentees with post-secondary mentors based on. This is designed to help prepare high school students for the PS (Post-Secondary) life, and for mentees to have a support system where the mentor shares their skills, experiences and expertise.
Inara is an organization started by a pair of Homestead juniors in response to the COVID-19 pandemic dedicated to keeping middle school students motivated and productive and providing guidance through the transition from middle to high school. They offer FREE one-on-one mentoring sessions. If you are a high-schooler apply to be a mentor.
Founded in 1904, Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC (BBBS of NYC) is the nation’s first and the city's largest youth mentoring organization.Their vision is that all youth achieve their full potential. Their mission is to build and support mentoring relationships to ignite the biggest possible futures for youth. Their work is guided by our values of believing in the power of mentoring, putting the kids first, and being excellent.
Founded in 1994, the ACE Mentor Program of America (ACE) is a free, award-winning, afterschool program designed to attract high school students into pursuing careers in the Architecture, Construction and Engineering industry, including skilled trades. ACE is a federation of more than 70 affiliates (chapters), operating in 37 states and largely based in metropolitan areas, which deliver the program. A national office coordinates and assists affiliates.
